Latest Forfeit The Game Network News and Updates
It's been a while, and a lot has been going on. A few sites have slowly disappeared in to the background and other various projects have started to build. My business HYSTERIA is flourishing and I'm still working a 28-hour week on top of that and everything else, so things are a bit mad.
That being said I've finally set a date for Forfeit the Game version 9, and I'm loving the new features I've added to the website. It's things that I wanted to put on this time 2 years ago and didn't know how! I have built a full content management system (which this website now runs off) and I will be slowly updating all the websites to run off of it, making them faster, 10 times easier to manage and more maintainable.
The network will rise again soon; until then make sure you check out FTG on the 20th June, everything is changing...
FTG 3rd at the Digital Music Awards!
Forfeit The Game: A Linkin Park Fansite has placed 3rd in the People's Choice category at this years Digital Music Awards! I was just beaten out by the fantastic Muse fansite MuseLive.com; whilst McFlyOfficial.com won the Official Website award. Thanks to everyone who voted for the website!
Although there isn't a lot of new things happening at the moment, I'm currently in the process of bulk redesigning and upgrading Forfeit The Game: A Linkin Park Fansite. My aim is to update every single page on the website for a launch on the first of next year. The new design is a slight variation of the current home page, but for the most part that is what the whole site will now look like.
I'll hopefully be doing a big update on Curious soon too, and I really want to re-launch the Street Team when I get time, that'll be on a "when I'm able to work on it" basis though, as they are less important.
Gradients... I Like Gradients...
I've been designing some new websites recently for local bands around my area, it's fun because it's mixing everything I love. One thing I've noticed from my designs though is how I've been using gradients and fades alot. Something which is prominent on the background of Lost the Plot, and on a few other too. My designs are becoming much more professional nowadays, and I'll showcase some of them as soon as the websites go live.
I haven't forgotten about the Network either, I'm just relying on the users to help provide content and keep the names out there. Seems to be going ok for now!
At least, with LPEzine.co.uk I have... As I mentioned previously, I was revamping the entire website, and it is finally complete. It now has member accounts and a brand new design, as well as brand new name LOST THE PLOT!
Let me know what you think, as I'm wonderfully proud of this one!
